MULTITASKING: Tackle those fix-up chores with the gear you carry around in this toolbox from Eureka. Then clean up with the built-in 6-amp vacuum that doubles as a power blower. It comes with a crevice wand and a dusting/upholstery brush. The toolbox has a 110-volt auxiliary power outlet to keep tools charged. It's $69.99. For store locations, call toll-free 1-877-270-9289.

STICK WITH THIS: The MagMat from Craftsman is a flexible magnetic vinyl mat, 12 inches by 12 inches, that will adhere to a tool chest, refrigerator, filing cabinet, inside of a hood, underside of a car, even pipes and poles. Or hang it from pegboard with its plastic grommets. Up to 22 pounds of tools and parts cling to one or both sides. Use it also as a magnetic sweep to pick up spilled nails or parts. It's $19.99 at Sears.

LEARNING CURVE: The oscillating spindle sander from Ryobi makes quick work of sanding small parts with curved surfaces or sanding curved edges. The sander weighs 49 pounds and comes with five rubber spindles and six sandpaper sizes in three grits. It rotates at 58 oscillations per minute and 2,000 revolutions per minute. It's just under $100 at Home Depot.
