Dine

I've had enough . . .

By CHRIS SHERMAN
Published June 19, 2003

Progress reports from the kitchen. Being told that the bread is in the oven or that the coffee's being brewed or that dinner will be "right out" is little satisfaction - and no reason to interrupt dinner conversation. I'm glad the staff knows when preparations take too long; we sure do. Bring an apology if you must; otherwise, wait until you can bring the food.
