Speargun fired in dispute

LARGO - A man has been arrested on charges he shot a speargun at a woman during a domestic dispute Friday night. Thomas P. Stacey Jr., 26, was arrested on charges of attempted aggravated battery and shooting at an occupied vehicle, both felonies. He was being held at the Pinellas County Jail Monday evening in lieu of $30,000 bail. During a domestic dispute with a woman at his home on Clay Avenue, Stacey shot a 48-inch spear gun at a car she was driving, Pinellas sheriff's deputies reported. A 2-year-old child also was strapped into the car, arrest reports state. The spear penetrated the car's front fender. No injuries were reported. Stacey, who lists his job as Fantasy Sport Fishing, was arrested Sunday evening.
