New Port Richey gets a head start on the Independence Day celebration with it annual Main Street Blast. The family event takes place Saturday in the Sims Park and Orange Lake areas of downtown.
There's a little something for everyone: a huge flea market, a classic car show, midway games, the Miss Firecracker Pageant, food and much more from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organizers ask for a $2 donation per person.
Gates open about 5 p.m. for a 5:30 concert featuring Three Dog Night in Sims Park. Admission is $20. The whole thing wraps up with fireworks at 9. (727) 842-8066.
