MARCOUSSIS, France - Today's Confederations Cup final between defending champion France and Cameroon might well serve as a memorial to Marc-Vivien Foe.

The Cameroon midfielder collapsed during a 1-0 defeat of Colombia in Thursday's semifinals, and his death darkened the eight-nation tournament.

"Whoever wins, the match will be for (Foe)," France defender Mikael Silvestre said.

For Cameroon, the game at Stade de France in Paris will be a demanding test.

"It is the hardest match I have had as a coach," coach Winfried Schaefer said. "But we will try and play a great match for Marc."

At Saturday's third-place game, Turkish and Colombian players wore black armbands. Turkey won 2-1 on a goal with four minutes left from substitute Okan Yilmaz.

NFL: Honor for "Marks Brothers'

They comprised Miami's receiving tandem for a decade, leaving them forever linked in Dolphins history. So it seems fitting that Mark Clayton and Mark Duper, known as the "Marks Brothers," are going into the team's ring of honor together. Clayton and Duper were introduced as the latest inductees into the team's honor roll. The top receiving duo in team history will be enshrined together during halftime of Miami's Dec. 15 game against Philadelphia.
