DALLAS - Cowboys defensive back Keith Davis and another man were shot at a topless club, authorities said.
Davis, 24, was shot early Sunday in the right hip and left hand about 2:20 a.m. outside the Dallas Gentlemen's Club. Club security guard Jacquois Thompson, 29, was shot in the left hip and right arm.
Davis was treated and released from a hospital later Monday; his fiancee, Amber Davis, said he was doing "fine." Thompson's condition was unavailable.
The incident started inside and spilled into the parking lot, Dallas police Sgt. Paul Morris said.
Amber Davis said she and Davis drove to the club after closing to pick up a friend. She was walking to her car when a vehicle drove up and a man reached out and tried to grab her, putting a gun to her head.
Police were told Keith Davis began to fight with four people inside the car. According to a police report, Thompson was pulling Davis from the car when four shots rang out.

Davis, who started coaching the fledgling American Football League team in Oakland 40 years ago, said he trusted negotiator Ed DeSilva and coliseum officials who promised a sold-out stadium. He claims he was lured back on false promises.
COLLINS SENTENCING: Broward Circuit Judge Dorian Damoorgian re-sentenced former Dolphins running back Cecil Collins to 15 years in prison, two months after a state appeals court threw out a similar sentence. Collins was convicted of burglary for sneaking into his neighbors' apartment in a morning break-in in December 1999.
