PINELLAS PARK - Police are investigating the death of a 37-year-old woman found bleeding from gunshot wounds inside her Park Place townhome on Saturday.

Sandra Lee Rozzo, of 7818 66th Way, was found at 11:35 p.m., police said.

She was taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.

Details about the investigation were not available Sunday, but police said in a press release that they are treating the case as a homicide.

Rozzo had recently moved to Park Place townhomes with her boyfriend, said her mother, Sandra Pool.

Rozzo had a 13-year-old daughter, two sisters, a brother and several nieces and nephews.

Rozzo was a bartender at the Green Iguana at Rocky Point. She was also a nutritionist and personal trainer, her mother said.

"She was a very fun loving, high-spirited beautiful young woman who took very good care of herself," said Pool, who lives in Winter Park.

"She was just wonderful with everybody. She loved life, loved the beach, lived for that little girl," Pool said. "Because of her, the world was a brighter place."

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
