State senator to speak at chamber luncheon

SEMINOLE - Florida Senate Majority Leader Dennis Jones, R-Treasure Island, will give a legislative update at Thursday's luncheon meeting of the Greater Seminole Area Chamber of Commerce, 11:30 a.m. at Banquet Masters, 8100 Park Blvd.

Advance reservations and payment are appreciated. It is open to chamber members and guests. The fee is $10 per person. To make reservations, call the chamber office, 392-3245. The Seminole chamber is also collecting back-to-school supplies for youngsters in need. Among the new items requested are pencils, erasers, pocket folders, three-ring binders, notebook paper, highlighters, rulers and backpacks. Bring the items to the chamber office, 8400 113th St. N. School starts for most area children on Aug. 5.
