LARGO - A man charged with stealing a great Dane puppy from a pet store has been sentenced to probation. Largo police arrested Adam Herubin, 19, in March after he stole the $995 puppy from Puppy and Kitty Nursery on Ulmerton Road. Police later found him wandering a neighborhood with the 8-week puppy in tow. He was charged with grand theft. The puppy was unharmed. On Monday, Herubin pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to one year of probation.
