PENSACOLA - For the second time in three weeks, someone walked into a hospital patient's room, cut a morphine drip line and walked out with the morphine and pump, police said Monday.

The latest theft came Sunday. A man entered the room of a 39-year-old woman at Sacred Heart Hospital and said he was there to remove her morphine pump, Pensacola police said. He then cut the line with scissors, put the morphine pump and scissors in a bag and left.

The patient called a nurse, who responded, but the man was gone.

Details on the previous theft were sketchy. The patient was asleep or drowsy and unaware of what happened.
