Bicyclist struck by car, hospitalized

PORT RICHEY - A 25-year-old man was flown to a St. Petersburg hospital Wednesday after he was hit by a car, authorities said.

The Florida Highway Patrol did not release details of the crash by late Wednesday. But in initial reports, authorities said the man was riding a bicycle when he was hit by a car near Ridge and Little roads shortly before 5 p.m.

He was flown to Bayfront Medical Center. His condition was not available late Wednesday.
