COMPUTER CAMP FUNDRAISER: The Black Data Processing Associates Greater Tampa Bay Chapter is sponsoring a carwash from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be in the parking lot of 7-Eleven, 5102 Pointe of Tampa, off Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. BDPA, a nonprofit organization, offers a flagship program called Students in Information Technology, Education and Scholarships. SITES is designed to introduce high school students to the field of IT, to encourage them to seek higher levels of education and groom them to become the next generation of IT professionals. Proceeds will be used to send students to a three-day BDPA Youth Summer Computer Camp in Philadelphia in August; donations will be accepted. Call 654-9444.

LEARNING CENTRE OPEN HOUSE: The public is invited to an open house hosted by Baywinds Adult Learning Centre, 722 E Fletcher Ave., from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. The event is celebrating the center's 20th anniversary; it offers classes in personal and professional enhancement. CARROLLWOOD NETWORKERS: The Carrollwood Business Networking Association meets from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays at Piccadilly Cafeteria, 11810 N Dale Mabry Highway. WEDNESDAY

NEW TAMPA NOON ROTARY: The New Tampa Noon Rotary Club's weekly meeting will be at 12:10 p.m. at Circles Restaurant in Pebble Creek. The group is accepting used computers and accessories to be donated to the Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology. Also, used cell phones will be donated to the Spring, a domestic abuse shelter. To donate computers, call 984-6631; for cell phones, call 631-7790; for membership, call 966-4484.

OPERATION-HOMEFRONT: Players are being sought for the Operation-Homefront Open Golf Tournament to be held at MacDill Air Force Base South Course. The scramble format tees off at 1 p.m. and will include some "top brass" at MacDill AFB and local celebrities. The entry fee is $75 per person, which includes the tournament, awards ceremony, box lunch and dinner, hole-in-one contest (win a new vehicle from Ferman Motor Co.), the longest drive and closest- to-the-pin contests, and raffle tickets for prizes. Operation-Homefront is a group of patriotic volunteers dedicated to providing support for the families of deployed military troops. Call 964-8230.

CRIME SEMINAR FOR SENIORS: Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay will sponsor a crime seminar for seniors at the University Area Community Center Complex, 14013 N 22nd St. The seminar will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m.; doors will open at 8:30 a.m. Speakers will include State Attorney Mark A. Ober; Deputy Charles O'Daniel, Florida crime prevention practitioner, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and Ken Green, crime analyst, State Attorney's Office. The following topics will be covered: "Fraud and Scams Against Elders," "Protecting Yourself From Identity Theft" and "What to Do If you Become the Victim of a Crime." Seniors in Service is a nonprofit organization of volunteers and staff promoting the value and independence of seniors. The event is free and open to the public. Call 932-5228.

EDUCATION SERIES: A lecture on "Imaginary Companions," part of the Professional Education Series at the Carter-Jenkins Center, 1325 W Fletcher Ave., will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Also, Humberto Nagera, psychiatrist/psychoanalyst at USF Department of Psychiatry, will discuss "Update on ADHD" from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday as part of its Community Education Series. The Reel Reflection Film Series will feature Iris from 7 to 10 p.m. July 25. The events are free and open to the public. Continuing Education Units will be available for $15 per credit hour. CARROLLWOOD AREA BUSINESS WOMEN'S CLUB: Robin Guess, investigative reporter at WFTS-Ch. 28, will be the guest speaker at the monthly luncheon meeting of the Carrollwood Area Women's Club. SCHOLARSHIP LUNCHEON: The GFWC Lutz Land O'Lakes Woman's Club will host its annual Scholarship Luncheon at 11 a.m. The event, honoring scholarship winners for the school year 2003-04, will be at the Lutz Community Center, 101 First Ave. N. The club awarded $3,800 in scholarships to 15 recipients. Call 949-1482.

CITIZEN BOARDS VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT: Hillsborough County Commissioners are accepting applications for volunteers to serve on a variety of citizen advisory boards and councils. Registered voters in Hillsborough County may apply through today. Those appointed may be required to file financial disclosure. Openings include the following: Cross Connection, Backflow and Back-Siphonage Control Board; Gas Board of Adjustment, Appeals and Examiners; Hillsborough River Board Technical Advisory Council; Historic Resources Reviews Board; Mechanical Board of Adjustment, Appeals and Examiners; Plumbing Board of Adjustment, Appeals and Examiners; Sign Appeals Board and the Tourist Development Council.
