A suspect dubbed the "Band Aid Bandit" because he wears an adhesive bandage on his cheek during stick-ups is thought to have committed more than 29 bank robberies in the Tampa Bay area since February 2001.

Most recently, on Wednesday, police say he and another suspect took over Provident Bank, 821 Bloomingdale Ave. E, in the Brandon area. Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the man.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office can be reached at (813) 247-8200 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
