Marine Corps Pfc. Christopher B. Devito, son of Mary L. and Raymond P. Devito of St. Petersburg, has completed the Basic Assault Amphibian Vehicle Repairman Course with the Assault Amphibian School Battalion, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Air Force Master Sgt. Robert D. Patt, son of Lynn and Walter Patt of Pinellas Park, was recently promoted to his current rank. He is stationed at Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu and is the non-commissioned officer in command of the 56th Communications Squadron, which is responsible for computer communications in the western Pacific. Patt is a 1989 graduate of Dixie Hollins High School.

Army Pvt. Dennis Wells, son of Chris Cantara of Pinellas Park, completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and is attending emergency medical training and airborne school at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He attended Dixie Hollins High School.

Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class James C. Hall, son of Ellen J. Day of St. Petersburg, received a Letter of Commendation for superior performance of duty while assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron 25, Naval Air Station, Lemoore, Calif. He is a 1994 graduate of Northeast High School.

Air Force Airman Christopher Proulx, son of Linda Valente Proulx of Seminole, recently graduated from Lackland Air Force Base Basic Training and has qualified for technical training in combat control. He is a 2000 graduate of Osceola High School.
