For Ann Wells, a hard day at work is no match for the peace brought on by watching the sun set from her apartment.

Most people familiar with South Parsons Avenue and its traffic problems do not associate it with paradise, but my husband and I do. Pure paradise is our waterfront apartment with its sweeping vistas of flowing fountains, gazebos and wetland with its Floridian flora and fauna.
Every day my husband and I take time out from our busy schedules to watch the spectacular hues from warm amber sunrises, brilliant fiery sunsets and cool pastel twilights that are cast across the lake and sky. During the summertime, we watch dark thunderstorms roll in to display amazing lightning shows.
Our neighbors love to set off fireworks over the lake, and so we have our own private viewing not only on the Fourth of July, but also on Flag Day!
Recreational opportunities abound here for example, fishing, picnicking, scenic walking, birdwatching and photography.
We both love the Latin language, not only in its ancient context but also in its modern one, so we have started learning some of the binomial nomenclature of the flora and fauna right outside our front door (like Pelicanus occidentalis for the brown pelican).
In the end, no matter how stressful our workdays might be, when we park our cars and walk toward our apartment we leave those stresses behind us and enter into our peaceful paradise off Parsons.
