RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY: U.S. Flood Control Corp. opened in Valrico in May offering what it says is the latest technology in flood control. The U.S. Flood product is a 50-foot-long vinyl tube that fills with water to repel rising water. What's more, company literature says the flood water can be used to fill the tube. Unlike sandbags, it can be easily emptied and reused. The tube, which retails for $1,250, weighs 60 pounds before it's filled with water and 6,100 pounds after. Call 727-2161 for an appointment.

FUN AND GAMES: EB Games opened at 1264 E Brandon Blvd. on June 5. The store sells new and pre-owned video games for systems like the Xbox, Game Cube, PlayStation, Super Nintendo and more. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. 655-9357.
