- This is the 38th American Bowl. The first was played in 1986 between the Bears and Cowboys at Wembley Stadium in London.

- The game has been in 12 cities and eight countries and will have involved 26 teams after the Bucs play the Jets on Saturday.

- It is the 11th time the game will be in Tokyo and 12th overall in Japan.

- The Bucs will fly 6,658 miles from Tampa to Tokyo.
