"ART ANNUAL 2003', a juried exhibit by area artists, continues at Pasco Arts Center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday through Aug. 30. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. An exhibit of Colleen Braun's photos, "Dasein - The Art of Being There," continues in the upstairs gallery. Admission to both exhibits is free.

"THE HEALING JOURNEY', an exhibit of paintings by patients and staff at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, continues through Aug. 29 at the West Pasco County Government Center, 7350 Little Road, New Port Richey. Admission is free.

THE SERIES, "How to Write a Book and Get It Ready for Publishing," presented by former radio talk show host (Take One Talk), casting director (Cocoon, Absence of Malice) and now writer Barbara Cronin Harrington (Give Him Back to God; Nothing is Forever, Darling), continues at 1 to 3 p.m. Mondays through Aug. 18 at the Pasco Arts Center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. Ms. Whitehurst plays multiple instruments and sings folk, ethnic, religious and modern music. A live recording of the performance will be made into a CD. Admission is $12. Call (727) 942-5605.

AUDITIONS FOR THE MUSICAL Funny Girl, the story of comedian Fanny Brice, will be at 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m. Saturday at the Forum at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Those who audition should be prepared to sing a song from the show and read from the script. Director is Pam Surbaugh. Production dates are Nov. 6 and weekends Nov. 7-23.

AUDITIONS FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON at the Show Palace Dinner Theatre will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday at the theater, 16128 U.S. 19, Hudson, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday at the Master Class Academy, 7-11B Orange Ave., Orlando. Parts for Equity and non-Equity singer/actor/dancers will be available in the musicals A Chorus Line (Oct. 3-Nov. 22); Christmas Show (Nov. 18-Dec. 25); Chicago (Jan. 2-Feb. 22); Showboat (Feb. 27-April 11) and Swing! (Apr. 16-May 16). Housing will be provided, as well as a shared cast car and membership at Gold's Gym for out-of-towners.
