NEW PORT RICHEY - A 17-year-old was in critical condition Saturday afternoon after a Friday night car wreck on Osceola Drive.

Fred Goodman, 19, of 15335 Banjo Drive in Hudson, lost control of a 1992 Honda and rolled the car on its left side, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Goodman and a passenger, Brook A. Matissek, 17, of 8504 Airway Blvd. in New Port Richey, were both ejected from the car onto the road.

Neither had been wearing a seat belt, a report said. The Florida Highway Patrol would not give more details.

Both teens were taken to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, where Matissek's condition was critical and Goodman's condition was listed as good Saturday afternoon.
