HOMOSASSA - A woman was arrested Saturday on sex-related charges involving a 14-year-old youth after the boy's mother walked in on them while they were in a hotel room. Nikki Ann Brands, 30, 5205 Fairhaven Ave., Spring Hill, was charged with one count of indecent assault on a child less than 16 years of age. According to the arrest report, Brands was arrested after being caught naked in a hotel room by the boy's mother. The youth, who was also partially nude when his mother walked in, told deputies and his mother that Brands asked him to come to her hotel room at a riverside resort Saturday evening and began to perform sexual acts on him. She denied the charges. She was taken to the Citrus County jail where she remained Sunday under bail of $15,000.
Pointing of rifle brings assault charge
CRYSTAL RIVER - A wrestling match that got out of control resulted in charges of aggravated assault being filed against a man Saturday. Clanford Earl Woodley, 43, 4355 N Tallahassee Road, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery. The arrest report said Woodley and another man were wrestling, when Woodley used a fishing rod to strike the victim. He then pointed a rifle at the victim and threatened to kill him. Woodley was taken to the county jail, and his bail was set at $5,000 on each charge.
