Bravo's cable TV show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy is a runaway hit, so Bravo parent NBC - like all media companies, always looking for a way to play one company off another - is grabbing Jay Leno for a makeover.
In Queer Eye, five gay guys with supposed expertise in grooming, food, fashion, culture and interior design put some style into the appearance and apparel of a heterosexual man. In the case of Leno, Reuters reports, the men will bring their skills onto The Tonight Show With Jay Leno for a special session Aug. 14.
A network spokeswoman said NBC also will air a special half-hour episode of Queer Eye earlier that evening. The show is Bravo's largest audience-getter.
