SPRING HILL - A 16-year-old was arrested after he was accused of inappropriately touching a girl while she walked her dog, authorities said. On Tuesday, sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a neighborhood in Spring Hill in search of an intoxicated man who was lying down in the middle of traffic, a sheriff's report stated. While searching the area for the subject, a sheriff's deputy was approached by a 34-year-old man who said that the man they were looking for approached his 15-year-old stepdaughter and fondled her, the report stated. The suspect was riding along with a group of bicyclists, the stepfather told authorities. Authorities did not identify the girl because of her age and the nature of the allegations. The juvenile, whose name is being withheld by the Times due to his age, was later taken into custody by the Sheriff's Office and charged with lewd and lascivious contact with a child. He was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Ocala, where he is being held.
