Hernando County commissioners on Tuesday approved plans for a site to build a 1,400-student school on Elgin Boulevard, west of Barclay Avenue. The School Board's request expanded the size and scope of a campus that was originally slated for a school run by the Diocese of St. Petersburg. The 38-acre Spring Hill campus would serve about 1,400 students ranging from kindergarten through eighth grade. District officials plan to open the school in August 2005.
