WESLEY CHAPEL - Three vehicles worth more than $100,000 were stolen from the lot of Heritage Ford on State Road 54.

Pasco County sheriff's deputies were called Wednesday to Heritage Ford at 28739 State Road 54 in Wesley Chapel where deputies were told that an inventory check that day revealed that a pickup truck and two sport utility vehicles were missing, according to a Sheriff's Office report.

The Ford vehicles - a 2003 Expedition valued at $40,295, a 2003 Expedition valued at $39,395; and a 2003 pickup valued at $23,665 - disappeared since the last inventory taken two weeks ago, the report said.

None of the vehicles had been sold.

Salesman John Baker told a deputy that the vehicles were equipped with "key boxes," which might have made it possible for the suspects to drive the vehicles off the lot, the report said.

Sheriff's spokesman Jon Powers said it is not known where the vehicles were parked before they disappeared. Some vehicles sit in a fenced area, some in a spill-over lot. Powers said vehicles have been stolen from the lot in the past.

"This is not the first one," he said.
