DADE CITY - Police officers and sheriff's deputies made arrests Thursday at a Dade City house where they seized nearly $3,000 worth of methamphetamines.
Arrested after officials served a search warrant was Beverly Moree Lane, 46, of 36831 Virginia Ave., Dade City, according to a Pasco Sheriff's Office report.
Once inside Lane's home at 1:15 p.m., authorities found 13.7 grams (or just less than half an ounce) of methamphetamine in her bedroom, the report said, along with 5 grams of marijuana, five oxycontin pills and drug paraphernalia.
Capt. David Duff of the Dade City police, which worked with the Sheriff's Office on the case, said the search warrant was obtained after officials received tips about drug activity at the home.
Lane was charged with possession of methamphetamine, oxycontin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
She was released from the Land O'Lakes jail Friday after posting $11,000 bond.
Charged along with Lane was Raul Fernandez Jr., 26, of 14321 18th St., Dade City. Fernandez was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine after he appeared at the house to make a delivery while authorities were arresting Lane, according to the report.
Officials found 15 grams of methamphetamine on him.
Fernandez was being held Friday in the Land O'Lakes jail on $20,000 bond.
The value for the combined 28.7 grams of methamphetamine is around $2,900, according to the Sheriff's Office.[Last modified August 16, 2003, 04:58:49]
