3. Which UM defender became the first player in NCAA history to sweep the Butkus, Nagurski and Bednarik awards in one season?

4. What is the only major bowl game in which the Hurricanes haven't won a national championship?

5. What quarterback, who went on to play in the NFL, opted not to attend UM after learning the 'Canes had signed Craig Erickson?

7. What pair of brothers played quarterback for Miami?

8. Which Outland Trophy winner from Miami never gave up a sack in his entire collegiate career?

9. Miami set an NCAA record for consecutive home victories with an amazing streak at the Orange Bowl. How many games did the 'Canes win and who ended "The Streak"?

10. Almost everyone knows Florida State's Gerry Thomas missed a 34-yard field goal in 1991 - the first of three wide-right victories for UM over FSU - that would have given the Seminoles a win. But who scored the touchdown that gave the 'Canes the lead for good after trailing most of the game?

11. What UM kicker nailed a 19-yard-field goal as time expired to send Miami to a 17-16 win over FSU and its first national championship game (Orange Bowl vs. Nebraska)?

12. In 1998, led by a school-record 299 yards rushing by Edgerrin James, Miami knocked off what undefeated team, ending its national championship hopes in a shootout at the Orange Bowl?

13. Where did UM renew its rivalry with the Florida Gators after a 15-year hiatus and what was the result?

15. Which UM coach went on to win a pair of Super Bowl rings as an NFL head coach?

16. Who knocked down a two-point conversion attempt to preserve UM's 31-30 victory over Nebraska in the 1984 Orange Bowl? (And a bonus point if you know who knocked down a conversion attempt with 48 seconds left in the 1987 game against FSU that kept UM undefeated and on track for its second national championship?)

17. Which head coach led the 'Canes to multiple national titles?

18. Who is the only UM player to lead the team in interceptions three years in a row?

19. What quarterback-receiver duo was responsible for the longest pass play in UM history?

20. Who is the only Miami player to score six touchdowns in a game?

RATINGS

20 correct - Go enjoy retirement in the Keys as JJ's first mate on the Three Rings.

16-19 - Not bad at all. So near perfection if only ... if only ... kind of like last year for the 'Canes.

12-15 - Respectable, but no ring. Sounds like Butch Davis' tenure as head coach.

Less than 12 - Do you have a Steve Spurrier poster on the wall of your living room?

- Compiled by Michael Snyder
