Team Pop Trivia

By GINA VIVINETTO
Published August 28, 2003

This week's winner: Before Team Pop Trivia went on hiatus, it asked the musical question: From what influential German band did the American garage band Mooney Suzuki derive its name? Tracy Clark of Largo knew it was none other than Can, and that the name is a combination of the surnames of Can's two lead singers, Malcolm Mooney and Kenji "Damo" Suzuki.

This week's question: The California governor's race gets nuttier: add punk rocker Jack Grisham to the list of candidates who want to unseat Gov. Gray Davis. Grisham has fronted - off and on - a popular SoCal punk band that formed in 1978. The band, ironically, once recorded the song, Abolish Government. To enter your name in the random drawing for the Weekend T-shirt, tell us the name of Grisham's band.
