Army Pfc. Jennifer S. Phillips graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. She is a 1993 graduate of Leto High School, Tampa. She is the daughter of Michael Dougherty of Tampa.
Air Force Airman Carlos L. Torres Jr. graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He is a 2001 graduate of Wharton High School, Tampa. He is the son of Nilda Torres of Tampa.
Air Force Tec. Sgt. DeBra L. Hines-Townsell has received an associate degree in applied science from the Community College of the Air Force at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Ala. A 1986 graduate of the Tampa Bay Vocational-Technical High School, she earned her degree in education and training management. In 2002, she received an associate degree in logistics. Hines-Townsell is the daughter of Delores Robinson of Valrico and Kenneth Hunter of Tampa.
Army Pvt. Leslie A. Underwood graduated form basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky. He is the son of Malcom Underwood of Locke, N.Y., and Carlye Vickers of Plant City.
Joseph A. Parks graduated from the Army ROTC National Advanced Leadership Camp at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Wash. He is a 1999 graduate of Durant High School, Plant City, and a 2003 graduate of Virginia Military Institute, Lexington. He is the son of Marian and Stephen Parks of Brandon.
