Who says bay area bicyclists can't get the thrill of the hill while staying close to home? Not those who have discovered the lofty altitudes of Hernando County. Photographed last month on their Sunday ride, these cyclists are headed south on Myers Road in the Spring Lake area of southeastern Hernando, enjoying the speed while taking in the view of McClendon Lake. They were part of a group that starts at 8 a.m. every Sunday at the San Antonio Athletic Complex in Pasco County.
