Nominations sought for 'Great Brooksvillian'

BROOKSVILLE - As part of Brooksville's Founders Week celebration Oct. 11-18, the city is accepting nominations for a "Great Brooksvillian" to be honored at a ceremony Oct. 14.

The program, fashioned after Florida's "Great Floridian 2000" program, will recognize those who have made significant positive contributions to the history, culture and/or economy of the community.

Nominations will be taken through Monday; those received or postmarked after Monday will not be accepted. For information, program criteria and/or a nomination form, call the City Clerk's Office at 544-5407, or e-mail or
