"THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND,' a revue of the music of John Kander and Fred Ebb (Chicago, Cabaret), continues weekends through Sept. 28 at the Show Palace Dinner Theatre, 16128 U.S. 19, Hudson. Shows are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 3 p.m. Sundays and 1:30 p.m. some Saturdays (call for dates). Doors open two hours before each show for buffet and full cash bar. "ANNIE JR.,' the shortened version of the musical Annie, will be presented by Dance Workshop Theatre at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday at Pasco-Hernando Community College's Performing Arts Center, 10320 Ridge Road, New Port Richey. The show is 60 to 80 minutes in length. The troupe will present the musical Fame at 2 and 7 p.m. Sept. 20, also at the PHCC center. Tickets to each show are $12. Call 845-3626 or 857-9779.

THE "BROOKLYN REUNION' show will be presented at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge, 11646 Town Center Road, New Port Richey. The show stars Kenny Vance (Cara Mia, This Magic Moment, Walking in the Rain) and the Planotones; Jay Siegel and the Tokens (The Lion Sleeps Tonight); and the Crests featuring Tommy Mara. THE GHOST RIDERS Southern rock band, with Steve Grisham, formerly of the Outlaws (Fallen Hero), and Barry Rapp, formerly with the Henry Paul Band (Grey Ghost), will headline Saturday at Bourbon Street Concert Club, 4331 U.S. 19, New Port Richey. Opening act is Wiley Fox. Doors open at 8 p.m., show at 9:30 p.m. Admission is $10.

VISUAL ARTS

"FROM FLORIDA TO FUNKYVILLE,' an exhibit of artworks by Roxanne Tobaison and Margaret Conte, continues through Sept. 30 at the Progress Energy Art Gallery, 6231 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Ms. Tobaison's watercolors depict Florida's architecture and wildlife. Ms. Conte's three-dimensional works in wood are described as "whimsical." Admission is free.

THE NATURE COAST DECORATIVE ARTISTS exhibit continues through Sept. 29 at the Alric Pottberg Library on the Pasco-Hernando West Campus, 10230 Ridge Road, New Port Richey. The works include oils, acrylics, watercolors, pen, ink, fabric dyes and pastels. Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free.

ART BY FRANK CASTANZA will be exhibited at the New Port Richey City Hall on Main Street through Sept. 30. Castanza, who studied art in New York, is an art instructor at Michael's Arts and Crafts in Port Richey.

WORK BY FINE CRAFT ARTISTS is on exhibit through Oct. 31 at Pasco Arts Center, 5744 Moog Road, Holiday. A "Meet the Artists" reception will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 4. Viewing hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

PORTRAITS AND LANDSCAPES by artist Arlita Costello of New Port Richey will be on exhibit through Sept. 30 at the Hudson Library off Fivay Road in Hudson.

QUICK TRIPS

"OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS,' a comedy, continues weekends through Sept. 28 at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Shows are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $14. The theater's box office is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and one hour before each show. Call (352) 683-5113.

THE HISTORIC ANCLOTE KEY LIGHTHOUSE will be re-lit on Saturday. The event will be celebrated at Sunset Beach in Tarpon Springs from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Bertie Higgins (Key Largo) and his band will perform. Food will be available for purchase. Those who attend can bring blankets or lawn chairs, but no coolers. The Tarpon Trolley will shuttle those who attend from the Tarpon High School parking lot. Admission is $5; ages 4 and younger, free.

HERNANDO JAZZ SOCIETY will hold an open jam session from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the SNPJ Hall, 13383 County Line Road, Spring Hill (3 miles east of Mariner Boulevard). Admission is $5 for nonmembers. Light refreshments will be available.
