WELLINGTON - A couple who went shopping after lightning damaged a television left the store with a winning Lotto ticket worth $21-million.
Rosemarie and Richard Cheverie, both 64, claimed the prize in Tallahassee on Friday. They opted for the single payment of $11,283,087.31, instead of 30 yearly installments of about $700,000.
The Cheveries, who have been married 46 years, said they plan to help their children, paying off their mortgages and buying one son a car, lottery officials said.
Theirs was the only ticket to match all six Florida Lotto numbers drawn late Wednesday: 13-19-28-38-40-41.
