BROOKSVILLE - A 41-year-old man was arrested Sunday after he was accused of trying to shoot his ex-girlfriend and four others in a fit of rage over the breakup, authorities said.
Milan Pavlovich of 20017 Suncrest Drive was charged with attempted murder, aggravated domestic battery, four counts of kidnapping and five counts of aggravated assault in an incident that was sparked over jealously, said Hernando County sheriff's spokesman Lt. Joseph Paez.
The string of events began on Saturday when Pavlovich went to Kennedy Krell's mobile home at 12151 Dry Creek Ranch Road, west of Brooksville, the report said.
Pavlovich began arguing with Krell, 26, and Leila Marshall, 24, his ex-girlfriend who is six months pregnant with Krell's child, the report said.
"It seems to have been a lover's triangle sort of thing," said Paez, explaining that Marshall had been staying at the Dry Creek Ranch Road residence after her breakup with Pavlovich. "It looks like the whole thing was generated over jealously."
After the argument, Pavlovich allegedly left the residence but returned shortly after midnight Saturday with a 12-gauge shotgun.
According to an arrest affidavit, Pavlovich pointed the shotgun at Michael Williams, who confronted him in front of the house.
After leading Williams back into the mobile home at gunpoint, Pavlovich aimed the shotgun at Krell and another man, Paul Leskody, who were seated on a couch, the report said. Pavlovich ordered both Krell and Leskody to hold their hands over their heads and became enraged when the men did not move quickly enough, the report said.
Pavlovich pointed the shotgun into Leskody's face, saying that he came to kill him, the report said.
Then, in an instant, Pavlovich held the firearm over his head and fired one round into the ceiling, authorities said.
Pavlovich then backed Williams into a bedroom and kicked him in the leg, causing him to fall to the ground.
Meanwhile, Marshall, who was in the bathroom when the first shot was fired, began pleading with Pavlovich to stop, the report stated.
Pavlovich pointed the shotgun at Marshall and told her that he should kill her, the report said.
Pavlovich then shot at Williams, who quickly hid between a bed and the wall. The shot missed Williams but struck the wall, the report said.
While Pavlovich was distracted by the fracas, Krell escaped out the back door and ran to a neighbor's house, where it is believed he called authorities, the report said.
Marshall then followed Pavlovich out of the bedroom, where he allegedly threatened another person, Margaret Krell.
Pavlovich later pushed Marshall into the wall in the living room, spit on her and kicked her into a refrigerator, the report said.
Pavlovich was arrested as he tried to leave the residence. Marshall, who later complained of stomach and back pains, was taken to a local hospital where she was treated for cuts and bruises on her thigh and face, the report said.
During the investigation, detectives found three gunshot holes around the mobile home as well as three buckshot shells in the shotgun, the report stated.
Pavlovich was being held at Hernando County Jail without bond Monday.
