Ethelyn Belle Mochrie traces her ancestry in the United States to the Plymouth Colony of Massachusetts - to William Brewster, the founder of the first church in 1620.

She was born Sept. 7, 1903, to Zenas and Lulu Maude (Smith) Freeman in Jefferson, N.H.

She married Robert James Mochrie in 1932. They lived in Concord, N.H., and had one son, Robert James Mochrie Jr. Robert Sr. died in 1971.

She worked as an accountant for the New Hampshire Daniel Webster Council of the Boy Scouts for 32 years. She retired in 1962.

She has lived in St. Petersburg for 25 years and has retained her membership in the Fidelity Rebekah Lodge of Concord since 1921.

She is an active woman: a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, an avid card player and reader, a solver of crossword puzzles and a Tampa Bay Devil Rays fan.

Before joining Christ United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg, Mrs. Mochrie was a member of Wesley Methodist Church in Concord.

She has one grandson and a great-granddaughter.
