Heritage Springs Country Club is launching its first full season of touring company musicals with four popular shows, including the perennial favorite, La Cage aux Folles.

Two of the shows will be by the Tampa-based SLT Productions, sister company of the Spanish Lyric Theatre.

Heritage Springs Country Club is on Robert Trent Jones Boulevard in the Trinity development south of Little Road. There are about 450 seats in the auditorium, and all seating is reserved, said Anna Murray, who is in charge of the season.

The shows are:

Jan. 18: Barry Manilow's Copacabana, presented by SLT Productions, the dramatization of the song, set in New York and Havana during the heydays of movie musicals. Show is at 2 p.m.

Feb. 15: La Cage aux Folles, the musical comedy about George, the owner of a notorious nightclub featuring female impersonators, and his longtime lover, Albin, the star at the club. George's son (from a drunken one-night stand) is marrying the daughter of the country's most straight-laced politician, who has no idea that an invitation to meet the groom's parents will take place at the wild and crazy nightclub. Show is at 1 p.m.

March 21: Man of La Mancha, based on the story of Don Quixote, presented by SLT Productions. The musical features comedy, romance, tragedy and the song The Impossible Dream. Show is at 2 p.m.

April 25: I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, a musical revue about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, couples and in-laws. Show is at 1 p.m.

One show is $20.95; any three shows, $53; all four shows, $70, all plus tax. A pre-show buffet is available, with reservations recommended. There are no refunds or exchanges of tickets. There will be a free wine and cheese party after each show.
