QB Casey Clausen on the 48-yard pass to end the first half:
"I threw it up and I just saw a big crowd so I knew we had a shot. I saw about three or four Florida guys around it when it came down. I never saw James (Banks) catch it. I just saw a lull and then all of our guys jumping around."
Defensive back/receiverJames Banks on how often the desperation pass works in practice:
"Never. It never works in practice."
Banks on how big the ball looked as it was tipped:
"It was huge. My eyes looked like I was in a horror movie. It was like (the ball) was coming down in slow motion."
Clausen on the state of UT football:
"We're a good football team. It's like I've been saying all along. Don't doubt us. Don't tell us that we can't do something because if you do that, we're just going to try that much harder."
Coach Phil Fulmer on the magnitude of the win:
"It is what we do with this win and if we progress and go forward from here that will validate this win down the road."
Running back Cedric Houston on his replacement, Jabari Davis:
"He's a lot stronger than me going through the middle. I wasn't about to run through their middle. That was the first time that I saw him run like Jabari, the way he did in high school."
Houston on the state of Florida football:
"We beat a good Florida team today. Offensively they are better (than last year) and defensively they are better (than last year). We just came out and played Tennessee football."
Linebacker Kevin Burnett on UF's opponents:
"(Tennessee) is not San Jose Sate or FAMU. We have a lot of guys out there who are good football players and are all well coached."
