DADE CITY - The Pasco County Sheriff's Office was investigating a strong-arm robbery that resulted in a man being stabbed twice in the abdomen.

Jose Alberto Urzua, 22, of Zephyrhills was walking on Hutchinson Street toward his girlfriend's house in Tommytown outside Dade City around 12:20 a.m. Wednesday when he was jumped by two men, a Sheriff's Office report said. Urzua had just been paid and had a lot of cash on him, but he fought off the men before they could get his money, the report said. During the struggle, one of the men stabbed him twice in the lower abdomen.

Urzua made it to the home of his girlfriend, who called 911.

Urzua was listed in good condition Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital.
