The Suncoast Linux Users Group will meet at 7 p.m. today at the St. Petersburg Public Library, 3745 Ninth Ave. N, at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Brandon Barnes & Noble and at 1 p.m. Saturday at the New Port Richey Public Library, 5939 Main St. For information, check www.suncoastlug.org

Registration for October computer training courses at the Cares Elfers Center is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Oct. 7. Classes include basic and advanced computer, digital camera, Internet and Word. The center is at 4136 Barker Drive, Elfers. For information, call (727) 847-1290.

The Microcomputer Users Group will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Largo Public Library, 351 East Bay Drive. For information, call (727) 536-2635.

Gunnar Rivas is offering a series of free computer classes at the Countryside Library, 2741 State Road 580, Clearwater. Sponsored by the Compurunner users group, classes in English start at 10 a.m. and in Spanish at 2 p.m. The classes are: introduction to Word, Saturday; making your own audio, graphics and video, Oct. 11; introduction to Linux, Oct. 18; and advanced programs, Oct. 25.
