HOLIDAY - Thieves forced open a display case at a U.S. 19 antique shop Friday and stole more than $6,000 worth of collectible figurines, a Pasco County Sheriff's report said.

According to the report, customers alerted Toni Moles, a clerk at Lyon's Head Antique Center, 1824 U.S. 19, that a glass case was standing open.

The case holds dozens of M.I. Hummel figurines belonging to Matthew Szynkiewicz, who sells the pieces at the store.

Szynkiewicz said 18 pieces were missing from the case, with a total value of $6,390, the report said.
