Elliott Gallery at Eckerd College, St. Petersburg - Through Oct. 10, "A Tribute ot James F. McLean Jr." honors the late architect with a show of photographs by Larry Stark. Some of the proceeds from sales will be donated to a scholarship in McLean's name at the University of Florida School of Architecture.

Beaker Gallery, Tampa - Through Nov. 8, "Patterns and Serial Randomness," themed show explores patterns, repetitions and chance in works by 14 national artists.

Covivant Gallery, Tampa - Through Oct. 19, "Evil Patterns," more patterning, with a pop sensibility from six artists.

Brad Cooper Gallery, Tampa - Through Oct. 11, a new series of paintings, "Los Colossos," by Edgar Sanchez-Cumbas.

Allyn Gallup/Mira Mar Gallery, Sarasota - Through Nov. 1, new paintings by Luisa Basnuevo.
