Game capsules

Dolphins (2-1) at Giants (2-1)

By ROGER MILLS
Published October 5, 2003

Both teams are coming of the bye, a rest that will help Ricky Williams. Problem is, it'll help the Giants to.

Mills pick: Giants 17, Dolphins 14

Raiders (2-2) at Bears (0-3)

The Raiders needed an overtime kick to beat a winless team last week and will have to scrap for a win again. But they get it in Chicago.

Mills pick: Raiders 21, Bears 10.

Cardinals (1-3) at Cowboys (2-1)

The Cowboys have won 12 straight over the Cardinals and Emmitt Smith should know why, the own them. No upset special for Emmitt.

Mills pick: Cowboys 28, Cardinals 14

Vikings (4-0) at Falcons (1-3)

So, you still don't believe the Vikings are legit? I'm not convinced either. But might be after they take out the Falcons.

Mills pick: Vikings 34, Falcons 6

Seahawks (3-0) at Packers (2-2)

The Lambeau mystique is dead but not the Packers. Still, Mike Holmgren adds to his successed in Green Bay.

Mills pick: Seahawks 20, Packers 17

Broncos (4-0) at Chiefs (4-0)

How can you not root for Dante Hall to return his fourth straight kick for a touchdown? Titanic battle goes to the Chiefs.

Mills pick: Chiefs 28, Broncos 24.

Bengals at Bills

Sorry Marvin, the Bills aren't going to drop their third straight. Not at home. Not to Bengals.

Mills pick: Bills 17, Bengals 9

Saints (1-3) at Panthers (3-0)

The Saints were sliced up by the Colts passing game, and now they'll be hammered by the Panthers running attack.

Mills pick: Panthers 27, Saints 6

Titans (3-1) at Patriots (2-2)

Confidence is back on a high in Titan-land and back on shaky ground in New England. Patriots need a "get-back" game, but don't get it.

Mills pick: Titans 21, Patriots 17

Chargers (0-4) at Jags (0-4)

At least someone will have a win at the end of the day. Otherwise, this will be painful to watch, and listen to.

Mills pick: Jaguars 14, Chargers 12

Lions (1-3) at 49ers (1-3)

Steve Mariucci is back in the house and puts a butt kicking on the reeling 49ers. FYI, Terrell Owens has a big day, in a loss.

Mills pick: Lions 17, 49ers 15

Redskins (3-1) at Eagles (1-2)

Lincoln Financial Field is 0-2. Sorry Steve Spurrier, there's no way the Eagles let the Redskins make it 0-3.

Mills prediction: Eagles 21, Redskins 20

Browns (1-3) at Steelers (2-2)

Humiliated by the performance last week against the Titans, Steelers treat the Browns with no mercy.

Mills pick: Steelers 34, Browns 12
