LAUDERHILL - A 42-year-old security guard was killed and two employees of a farmers market were injured during a robbery, sheriff's officials said Sunday. No arrests have been made.

Yonel Barthelemy died at the scene shortly after the Saturday night robbery, Broward County sheriff's spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright said. Sheriff's investigators are seeking two suspects, she added.

Barthelemy, an employee of the Platinum Security Corp., was guarding Stile's Farmers Market, which was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash.

The market owner's wife, Margaret Stile, and store manager Samuel Anselm were hospitalized after being pistol-whipped by the two suspects, Coleman-Wright said. Their conditions could not be determined Sunday.

No other employees or customers were injured.
