Dianne Jacob has been elected to the board of regents of Leadership Florida. Jacob is director of business development for Hardin Construction, Tampa.

Teri McGinnis has been elected to the Tampa Bay Builders Association's board of directors. McGinnis is marketing director for Seven Oaks community in Pasco County.

CREDIT UNIONS

GTE Federal Credit Union, Tampa, announced these appointments: Adam Gray, vice president of e-business; and Mark Lesnau, vice president/controller. Gray was senior sales engineer for Qwest Communications Corp., Tampa; and Lesnau was vice president and chief financial officer for Lease Corp. of America, Troy, Mich.

FINANCIAL

Wendy A. Spencer has been appointed to the board of directors of Spencer International Advisors Inc., Clearwater. Spencer is vice president of operations and secretary for Spencer International Advisors Inc., Clearwater.

HEALTH CARE

Dr. Donald Krippendorf has been elected president of the American Chiropractic Association. Krippendorf maintains a private practice in St. Petersburg.

WellCare Health Plans Inc., Tampa, appointed Ruben J. King-Shaw Jr. and Dr. Regina E. Herzlinger to its board of directors. King-Shaw is chairman of DeNovis Inc., Lexington, Mass; and Herzlinger is the Nancy R. McPherson professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, Boston.

LEGAL

Charles Alexander Buford has been elected to the board of trustees for the St. Petersburg College Foundation. Buford is a partner at the law firm of Harper, Kynes, Geller & Buford, Clearwater.

Miller Detrick has been named director of human resources at the law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker, Tampa. Detrick was executive director of human resources for Catalina Marketing Corp., St. Petersburg.

Richard B. Hadlow has been appointed to the board of directors of the Florida Aquarium Inc., Tampa. Hadlow is a partner at the law firm of Holland & Knight, Tampa.

MARKETING

Matthew R. King has been promoted to division coordinator, Florida west region, for Vector Marketing's Tampa branch. King was district manager for Vector's Columbia, S.C., branch.

Kelly Madson has been named partner and media director for Pinstripe Marketing and Interactive, St. Petersburg. Madson was business development director for CMR Studios, St. Petersburg.

PROFESSIONAL

The Florida State Fair Authority announced these appointments: Shannon Glendowne, media and production coordinator; and Tonya Halvorsrod, secretary for the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center. Glendowne was a legal writer for the law firm of Wilkes & McHugh, Tampa; and Halvorsrod was a secretary for Estate Brokers USA, Plant City.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS

Steven Meitzen has joined Business Communications Services, Palm Harbor, as senior vice president of marketing and sales and will have an ownership interest. Meitzen was vice president of marketing and sales for Ven-Tel Plastics, Largo.
