On Shorecrest's second play of the second half Friday, Ryan Iacovacci rushed for a 73-yard touchdown, and its lead over Winter Haven All Saints' stretched to 21 points. The play set the tone for Shorecrest to close out its fifth consecutive victory.

"Some people have a big play and nothing else the entire game," coach Phil Hayford said. "He's making good plays all the way through.

"The whole night, he was consistent."

Iacovacci, a senior, has proved to be an invaluable part of Shorecrest's success, but Friday, he was on Player of the Week level. Iacovacci the quarterback was 5-of-11 for 148 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed 10 times for 177 yards and a touchdown.

Iacovacci the linebacker had four solo tackles and three assists. He also tallied a sack and caused a fumble.

With his numbers, it might seem as if Iacovacci is a do-it-all lone weapon for Shorecrest, but Hayford said he's the opposite. Iacovacci passed to four receivers and handed off to nine ball carriers.
