Tampa's Delgado one of six on 'Bachelor'

Tampa resident Mary Delgado survived another round on ABC's reality dating show The Bachelor, joining the ranks of six women picked to advance to the show's next round. During Wednesday's program, Delgado, 35, admitted she was falling in love with bachelor Bob Guiney, who narrowed the field from 10 to six women in the show.

West Wing takes back seat to baseball playoffs

Fans of NBC's The West Wing found a surprise in the show's regularly scheduled timeslot Wednesday; a rerun of the network's popular crime drama Law & Order: Criminal Intent. In a possible response to the popularity of Major League Baseball on rival Fox, NBC delayed a new episode of the White House drama until next week - avoiding the chance that baseball might blunt the show's current ratings comeback.

Bright House errors

Alert viewers may have noticed an advertisement touting CNN's prime time lineup on the channel recently that featured Larry King, Aaron Brown and Connie Chung. The only problem: Chung left the network in March, after the decision to cancel her 8 p.m. show, Connie Chung Tonight.

Turns out the glitch was a local advertisement sponsored by an area lawyer and assembled by Bright House Networks cable company.

When Chung's show left the air, no one at Bright House caught the change, said David Hall, vice president of advertising. "At least (the advertisement) was two-thirds right," joked Hall, noting the company hadn't received any complaints about the incorrect ad. "Maybe the public just doesn't recognize Connie anymore."

Showtime to air Blair movie

NEW YORK - Showtime has given a movie producer the go-ahead to make a "dark comedy" about the Jayson Blair scandal at the New York Times. The movie, tentatively titled The Jayson Blair Project, is expected to be shown on the pay cable outlet next year or early 2005. Blair resigned as a reporter after filing some three dozen phony or plagiarized stories.
