GTJGA membership: Golfers age 6 through 18 can become a member of the Greater Tampa Junior Golf Association. Membership in the GTJGA allows players to participate in any of the 2003-04 season's nine tournaments throughout Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Polk counties.

Westchase charity tourney: Sponsors, donors and players are needed for Adoption Miracles charity golf tournament on Nov. 22 at Westchase Golf Club, 11602 Westchase Golf Drive. Adoption Miracles is a nonprofit child placing agency that assists birth and adoptive families.

BlazeSports golf: BlazeSports Tampa Bay will host the second annual golf tournament at 8 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Harbor Golf & Country Club, 19502 Heritage Harbor Parkway. The tournament will consist of a four-person scramble, longest drive and closet to the pin contests. Proceeds will benefit BlazeSports which provides programs for physically disabled athletes. Walking/running
Weekly exercise walk: The Florida Trail Association meets at 8 a.m. every Sunday for an exercise walk at Lettuce Lake Park, 6920 E Fletcher Ave. The walk is just more than a mile, as many times around as desired. All ages are welcome and the walk is free. Call 920-0702.
Westchase race: Register for The Great West Chase 5K Run/Walk and Children's 1K Fun Run and Fall Fest '03 scheduled for Nov. 8. Proceeds will benefit the Upper Tampa Bay Library. The race starts at West Park Village and goes down Linebaugh Avenue and back around. Participants receive a T-shirt, goody bag, food and drink, and can attend the festival with music, food booths and crafts after the race.

Northdale run: The Northdale 5K Pumpkin Run and Family Walk is at 8 a.m. Saturday. The event will start at the Bob Sierra Family YMCA, 4029 Northdale Blvd. The first 250 participants will receive a long-sleeved shirt. A pancake and sausage breakfast will be served after the event. Activities for kids will be provided at the YMCA and costumes are welcomed.

Triathlon
Epilepsy research: Register now for the 2nd annual Epilepsy Research Foundation triathlon on Nov. 15 at the New Tampa Family YMCA, 16221 Compton Drive. The race will include a quarter mile pool swim, a 10-mile bike ride and a 3.1 mile run. There will also be a children's race with varied lengths. More than $10,000 in prizes will be raffled off. After the race, food will be provided by Carrabba's, Firehouse Subs, Einstein Bagels and Starbucks Coffee. Proceeds will benefit the Epilepsy Research Foundation and the New Tampa YMCA Youth Scholarship Program.

Alonso club: Calling all wrestlers: The Nest Wrestling Club meets twice a week on Monday and Wednesday. All ages and skill levels from beginner to professional are welcome. The club practices Folkstyle and Freestyle on two full-sized mats. Coaches are welcome.
