Today's games

Saints (2-4) at Falcons (1-5)

By ROGER MILLS
Published October 19, 2003

At the start of the season this had promise to be dandy. Truth is, until Michael Vick returns, it's just a dud.

Mills pick: Falcons 14, Saints 12

Titans (4-2) at Panthers (5-0)

Of course, the Panthers have never been 6-0 in team history. And won't be. Titans end their streak of wins.

Mills pick: Titans 27, Panthers 14

Ravens (3-2) at Bengals (1-4)

Marvin Lewis will get a warm reception from the defensive unit he built and then get a thrashing from it as well.

Mills pick: Ravens 17, Bengals 9

Chargers (0-5) at Browns (3-3)

If they run the ball well, like they did last week, Browns keep the Chargers winless.

Mills pick: Browns 13, Chargers 10

Cowboys (4-1) at Lions (1-4)

Easy prediction here. The league's No.4 offense (Dallas) against the league's 29th ranked defense (Detroit).

Mills pick: Cowboys 21, Lions 10

Patriots (4-2) at Dolphins (4-1)

Dolphins have won five straight and six of the last eight games at home against the Patriots.

Mills pick: Dolphins 30, Patriots 17

Broncos (4-1) at Vikings (5-0)

Remember, the Vikings were playing well before Daunte Culpepper's injury. Now he's back to torment a Denver team without Plummer.

Mills pick: Vikings 34, Broncos 21

Eagles (2-3) at Giants (2-3)

Eagles have won three of the last four games, but they are not themselves. Of course, neither are the Giants.

Mills pick: Giants 20, Eagles 17

Packers (3-3) at Rams (3-2)

The Rams vaunted passing attack is back and their defense is steady. Packers may still be spinning from the OT loss last week.

Mills pick: Rams 30, Packers 27

Redskins (3-3) at Bills (3-3)

The Bills were considered a preseason favorite to win the Division. Surely, they can beat the Redskins? Right?

Mills pick: Bills 17, Redskins 14

Jets (1-4) at Texans (2-3)

What the Jets needed was that first win to get them going, now they get a second-year franchise to keep it going.

Mills pick: Jets 28, Texans 10

Bucs (3-2) at 49ers (2-4)

The 49ers are looking for answers but the problem is the Bucs aren't the type of team to willingly provide.

Mills pick: Bucs 27, 49ers 13.

Bears (1-4) at Seahawks (4-1)

Okay, so the Bears beat the Raiders. Who hasn't. After all, Chicago lost the Saints, for goodness sakes.

Mills pick: Seahawks 24, Bears 6

Chiefs (6-0) at Raiders (2-4)

Considering the rivalry, this is precisely the kind of game that the Raiders need to win to salvage some pride.

Mills pick: Raiders 31, Chiefs 27
