ORLANDO - Ryan Schneider threw for 254 yards and two touchdowns to Tavaris Capers as Central Florida beat Central Michigan 31-13 Saturday.

Alex Haynes had 198 yards and a touchdown for the Golden Knights. Dontavius Wilcox rushed for 77 yards and the final score late in the third quarter.

UCF's defense sealed it with consecutive fourth-and-short stops. UCF also forced two turnovers in the second half, including its first interception of the season. The Knights were the last team in the nation to pick off a pass.

The Chippewas, who have lost five straight, were led by Jerry Seymour's 114 rushing yards. The freshman from Miami missed the past three games with a leg injury.

A 28-yard TD from Schneider to Capers two plays into the second quarter put UCF up 14-6. The play also continued Schneider's school-record streak of consecutive games with a touchdown to 27.

Schneider was 25-of-32 but had three interceptions for the third time this season.

Capers tied his career high with nine catches for 84 yards. It was his fifth nine-reception game of the season.

Haynes ran for a 27-yard touchdown on the game's first possession, a score set up by Luther Huggins' kickoff return to midfield. It was the first time this season UCF opened with a touchdown.

FAMU 60, NORFOLK ST. 10: Ben Dougherty threw two touchdowns and ran for a TD to lead host Florida A&M. Rashard Pompey also had two touchdowns, and the Rattlers scored on their first nine possessions. Norfolk State never drove deeper than the Florida A&M 33 until the fourth quarter. Dougherty played less than three quarters but completed 15-of-24 for 186 yards. Pompey also sat out the fourth quarter but rushed for 114 yards on 14 carries.

FIU 34, HOLY CROSS 23: Adam Gorman, who played at St. Petersburg Catholic, rushed for 187 yards and three touchdowns as host Florida International won its first game of the season. Gorman was forced into the starting role after injuries sidelined Diamos Demerritt and Rashod Smith, FIU's top running backs.

MOREHEAD ST. 20, JU 16: Running back Tyler Slone scored a pair of touchdowns and the defense shut down host Jacksonville's last scoring drive. The win helped Morehead capture the Pioneer League South title with a 3-0 record in league play. It was the Eagles' fifth straight win. Emmett Hunter had his fifth consecutive 100-yard rushing game for the Dolphins with 146 yards in 30 carries.
