There's a book in almost everyone's soul, probably in yours, too.

It's likely a novel you read when you were young. It probably wasn't on your school reading list. It may have been one you hid from your parents.

But at the time, you may have believed that it changed your life, that it transformed you, made you larger, stronger, sadder, wiser.

Would the same book, reread today, still have that power over you?

As the 11th annual Times Festival of Reading opens today, seven of us revisit a book that blew us away when we were young.

Then we try to figure out what has changed, what seems different. The book? Us?
