Boy Scout Open

WHAT: Inshore fishing tournament for kids.

WHEN: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15.

BOUNDARIES: Pinellas and Pasco counties and adjacent waters. Weigh-in will be held at Honeymoon Island State Park.

ENTRY FEE: $10 at "Captain's Meeting," Palm Harbor Beef O'Bradys, Alt. 19 and Alderman Road. Late registration is $15, 8-to 9 a.m. the day of the tournament, at Honeymoon Island. All proceeds will benefit the Fred Fischer memorial youth campsite project on Caladesi Island, organized by St. Alfred Church Boy Scout Troop 434. Fischer, described by friends as the "Super Scout," died last year scuba diving off Clearwater Beach.
